COMPASS Paranormal is the Pennsylvania Commonwealth's Organization for Metaphysical, Paranormal and Supernatural Studies. Our group name has been slightly modified to a simpler version of what we originally called the PA COMPASS Team.
The group provides professional, no-cost investigations into the paranormal. All investigations are considered confidential and information is not released from these investigations unless permitted by the clients.
We investigate private residences, businesses, and properties in the Western Pennsylvania Region, particularly the Greater Pittsburgh area, as well as Greensburg, Latrobe, and the Ligonier Valley.
Group Founder and Lead Investigator, Robert James Shapiro II, has been certified as both a ghost hunter and paranormal investigator by Cindy Blake, of the Michigan Ghost Hunters.
Although many members have had an interest in and have researched the paranormal for several years, the group was formally created in 2004. The purpose of the group is to apply a scientific approach to paranormal investigation utilizing video cameras, still cameras, thermal sensors, various imaging, audio, and other equipment to document paranormal activity.
EVP's from the US Hotel
Here are a couple of EVP's we managed to get after our early analysis of all of our evidence. These were caught on the second and third floors of the US Hotel. We will have a few more later on this week to review as well. The first EVP Biff and Tom managed to catch. They were talking about how Allegheny Mountain Ghost Hunter Al Brindza, who is sensitive to paranormal activity, seemed to have the spirits there speak to him. They guys suggested that only Al could hear them speaking. Biff managed to get a disembodied voice which sounds like it is saying "I decided to show you..."
